Hello,

I have heard some major complaints about Kayako dropping live chats all the time, but the threads are back from 2006. How is it doing now? Is it more stable? Any input you could give is appreciated.

Thanks!

Have been using Kayako for about 3-4 years and never noticed the problem you mention.

Thanks for your input. In testing it, I have not seen any problems either.

I never heard any bad reviews about Kayako :)

But I am sure each person's experiences are different one to another...

I think it can often be attributed to the client-side browser or it's settings, as I have seen this with people using Google Chrome. If they switch to FF, Opera, or IE, it seems to correct itself.

Kayako live chat was problematic in the past but it seems to be a lot stable now.

We're still having issues with live chat - always logging clients or us out.

It's still "okay" to use though.

We use Kayako for years and we think it is ok to use :D

Great, thanks for the input. We have switched over to Kayako, and just need to integrate the live chat to our site.

There were some issues with Crome but seems to be ok now.

Chats do get dropped from time to time but there are many other factors involved in this than the software itself. We like Kayako all the way but we find PHP Live more stable, specially clients with bad connections.

Before version 3.30.00, Kayako customers with unstable connections to their web server (typically some on a shared hosting account) would experience frequent chat 'drops'. The issue was environmental and did not affect the majority of Kayako customers.

However, in version 3.30.00 we rewrote the code which handles the data transport for chats (as well as making the end-user chat interface wonderfully smooth and AJAX-y) - customers with unstable connections who were experiencing chat drops no longer do so.

I hope you find this information useful
