Is anyone using Virtual Complete in a production environment yet? It looks promising, but I would like to know what people who are using it think of it.

The owner said they have a good relationship with the development team and have given them a lot of ideas for features. Techark 06-28-2009, 08:32 PM Got a link to it? enotchnet 06-28-2009, 08:36 PM Here is the link: http://virtualcomplete.com/ webhost18 06-29-2009, 01:49 AM Hi Thanks the link, let check the site.. linux2k 06-29-2009, 02:49 AM I am interested to buy Virtual Complete Basic Edition and tried many time to contact, but not receive any reply from him. I don't think they have good customer support. devonblzx 06-29-2009, 04:52 PM Last I heard they were holding sign-ups until their 2.0 release which should be out very soon. SC-Daniel 06-29-2009, 10:42 PM Last I heard they were holding sign-ups until their 2.0 release which should be out very soon. Released earlier this evening and it is a very very nice update. Still some small things here or there that I've already mentioned to them, but overall it is quite nice. team-vps 06-29-2009, 11:20 PM I am interested to buy Virtual Complete Basic Edition and tried many time to contact, but not receive any reply from him. I don't think they have good customer support. They responded to us within hours this past weekend. They were also very helpful. You might want to try contacting them again. M Bacon 06-30-2009, 06:17 AM I didn't get a reply either. I wish that the company had a ticket system at least. A user forums would be nice as well. It looks like really good software so far. team-vps 06-30-2009, 09:44 PM Yes, a forum would be nice. linux2k 07-01-2009, 10:23 AM Today I again try to contact but still no response. I think they are not interested to sale anymore. SC-Daniel 07-01-2009, 10:49 AM I spoke to the developers yesterday about a few minor bugs which were fixed and a patch released yesterday afternoon. It is odd that you are not receiving responses as all of my emails to them have been answered rather quickly. Flumps 07-01-2009, 10:55 AM hmm this looks like a nice alternative to hypervm where the developer hung himself over security of the application. teachforjune-Scott 07-01-2009, 11:30 AM We all now what happened to the developer of Hypervm and you don't have to be so casual about it. And I wouldn't go around assuming that you know the reason he did what he did. There is much more to his life that you or I know. The only part of your post that was necessary was it was a nice alternative to hypervm. The rest is just a lack of respect. linux2k 07-01-2009, 12:54 PM I spoke to the developers yesterday about a few minor bugs which were fixed and a patch released yesterday afternoon. It is odd that you are not receiving responses as all of my emails to them have been answered rather quickly. Kindly tell me the way you are using to contact. I try to signup for trial today but still no responce. parpar 07-01-2009, 04:45 PM hi well, it's the first panel that i use, so i don't have any thing to compare it with, but never the less its simple, sophisticated and intuative. so i like using it PogiWeb 07-01-2009, 05:26 PM I spoke to the developers yesterday about a few minor bugs which were fixed and a patch released yesterday afternoon. Is it kind of like HyperVM and all you have to do is hit an update button or do you have to manually upload the files? SC-Daniel 07-01-2009, 09:52 PM Daniel, How are the updates handled? Is it kind of like HyperVM and all you have to do is hit an update button or do you have to manually upload the files? The main control panel (php based) is hosted on your own webserver -- It requires uploading of the php files to the web server. The nodes require you to login to each and execute the update script... I plan on sending the VC folks an email with a few more feature requests later tonight, including an easier method of mass updating. Core4Tech 07-01-2009, 10:21 PM I do say, it looks like a good replacement for HyperVM. I have also been reviewing veportal.com. We'll see how each one goes. Thanks for the link and info. linux2k 07-02-2009, 01:09 AM veportal.com is looks like nice but we need to review it before using it to production environment. SC-Daniel 07-02-2009, 09:56 AM Kindly tell me the way you are using to contact. I try to signup for trial today but still no responce. Via email -- They have been quite responsive thus far, a bit odd that you are not receiving responses. Have you tried from an alternative email address? It could be that you are being caught in a spam filter. Techark 07-02-2009, 09:24 PM +1 on the no response. Been trying to contact them about a test license to put on a server and give it a whirl. Looks like they do not want to respond and since they have no support channel like forums or help desk, it looks kind of a dicey panel to use for production. Maybe once they get up to speed. SC-Daniel 07-02-2009, 09:33 PM I think they are trying to get it completely developed and as feature rich as robust as possible before going totally live with it. I have spoken to the developers on several occasions and they are quite devoted to improving it everywhere where possible. Some security settings they use are randomly generated keypairs using a specific algorithm for each node AND each VPS in the system, they are working to improve this a bit more and make things as best as they possibly can. Just give them some time as I am sure they are probably overwhelmed with the huge number of inquiries, they are still working to enhance it so everyone gets the best possible product for their money. subigo 07-07-2009, 08:07 PM veportal.com is looks like nice but we need to review it before using it to production environment. We ended up going with vePortal. I'd suggest everyone try the trial right now. They've been updating it nearly everyday and it's pretty solid so far. wb-Jay 07-07-2009, 09:35 PM Are both virtualcomplete.com and veportal.com a one man show? SC-Daniel 07-07-2009, 09:36 PM Are both virtualcomplete.com and veportal.com a one man show? I know VC is a 2 or 3 man show... Not sure about vePortal. subigo 07-07-2009, 09:39 PM Are both virtualcomplete.com and veportal.com a one man show? There's a few people working on vePortal right now (one main developer, but I believe 3-4 all together). vpsmart 09-19-2009, 04:57 AM Does Anyone try the load balancing and high availability features? Any comments? |
