I was wondering...
I've heard about internet researchers, i even know one or two of them who do research in places like Lanzarote where hardly anyone has the net.
Is there any money in it? or do so many people know how to use search engines properly know that they just do it all themselves?
Any one out there do it ?

Good question. Unfortunately I know a little on the topic :)
A friend of mine does intense interest research, on the side for cash. I would say he makes good money doing it when their are clients, which need some intense research which can take alot of time. Most of his clients are people who run a business or people who are opening a business, he researches primarily market conditions, the business competetion, as well as statistics about the market overall. I believe some of his searches origionate on google, although he has some fancy software which searches a bunch of engines at once, and finds the most relevant answers from all combined.
You would be surprised at how many people do not know how to search the internet. It is safe to say that the majority of the people in their 30's and up, do not know how to search the internet. You should see my father who is 60 on the internet, he types the URL's in the google search box, he has no clue what he is doing. And it is exactly people such as him, that would use these services.
Hopefully this helps :)
