Looks like the saga goes on with demon internet, aka "Thus" they are a fairly large ISP in the UK, i think they are struggling with a bit of debt at the moment.

Check out my ping stats:

this has been going on for 2 weeks non stop, looking to leave them now, I suggest if anyone is going to use them for any kind of hosting, ISP services to steer well clear of them.

I am currently in the process of cancelling my accounts with them.

Anyone else using them experiencing similar problems?

I think they are upgrading a pipe at the moment arent they? expect things to improve very soon.

upgrading a pipe, nope i dont think so, i have a feeling they would have admitted it if they were upgrading.

its been getting gradually worse for over a month, their anchor border routers suck badly.

i thought they had "admitted it".

Do they have a user forum?

Im with nildram adsl and they have a great forum where tech's reply all day :)

hah, user forum, they dont even have a helpful tech department, and their customer services are the worst ive ever met by far.

i was meant to have a call back at 11am GMT, guess what, no call back, thats happened plenty of times to me, they dont seem to know how to pick up a telephone and dial someone.

lol actually our new house could hold a few, yet to test how many but its a decent size for once. im up north :) common yorkshire lad, although i get to london a bit and lancashire rarely.

demon must just be having problems with the gigantic shifts in how the industry works, they were about when you had to pay for the privlidge of paying to phone them to dialup, these days its friaco and small margins if any.

hey richy, didnt notice the reply, thanx for the info.

demon have yet to resolve their wonderfuly crap service, theyre still loosing every 5th packet somewhere in the etherworld.

they are even kind enough to not let me cancel my serivces.

looks like ill be going ahead and contacting the trading standards.

I believe this one falls under the section of "Buying Services" under the clause of "Fit For Purpose" would you say something sold as an "Internet Connection" that drops every 5th packet should be deemed "Fit For Purpose" ??

me wonders...
