About 12 years ago, I signed up for one of those services that sends out 6 magazines a month (I was 16, be nice). Well they charge me 18.88 every month since and I have moved around so many times and have lost their info. So I don't receive these magazines obviously and I just let the charge keep going. Is there a way to find this company? 800-555-1212 didn't have a listing and I can't find anything in google on them. Figured how there are so many company snoopers here, that someone can help me locate this group to cancel the server since they have taken about 3k from me :).

The company name is Segler Enterprise(s). I have no address or anything else. This is the name that shows up in quicken when they charge.

Couldn't you just get the recurring billing canceled via your credit card providor? :(

Have you tried calling your credit card company yet?? They should have a contact phone number on file for them ;)

Unfortunately this is a checking account withdrawal I believe. I could be wrong, but back then they didn't have check cards.

find out from your bank, if it's coming out of your bank account the details will be there
and cancel it

Just looked at a physical bank statement and it says the same thing. There is a reference # that seems to be same on every withdrawal, so maybe that will help tie it together, since it is obviously being wired into some merchant account. Thanks for the help.

I worked in a bank for 4 years. Depending on the bank, they may or may not help you. If they are reluctant, your only option may be to close the checking account and open a new one. I know that may seem drastic, but that is sometimes the only way you will get the automatic charge stopped. One thing to just be aware of is that as far as this company knows, you are still receiving their product. If they are unable to get their money, and unable to contact you, they could send to collections or even place a negative remark on you credit report. I doubt it will come to that, but I have seen it before with customers in you shoes. Good luck.

That is my very concern, that is why I don't want to close the account. I would rather find their # because of what you are saying. Also I have had this account for over 14 years and that means something to some companies.

OMG, that is amazing! I have a feeling they are the same company because I used to live in Houston and they probably got my DBA from the local court. It was my first business, building clone computers for people. Thank you very much.

I am unable to find a Business license on them. A check of the address lists businesses and suite #'s.

I have no doubt that they are shady company. When I was dealing with them a lot, trying to get all computer magazines, it was a pain to say the least and they were always calling me. They are one of those companies that sells your info to anyone they can and it was a burden because I did my DBA to my home address and my personal phone #. Can you TELEMARKETERS! That is all they are, a telemarketing group selling someone elses services. I wouldn't doubt it if they are out of business and still pulling my funds out. Either way, you know they will try anything to get a $ so I want to play it right. Thank you once again. This has been very helpful. I will let you guys know of the outcome.
