hi Rusko,
He isnt advertising 1mbp for $99, you get 100gig (1/3 mbp) hooked to a capped 1mbp line for $99. Thats probably where teh confusion came in about not getting anotehr 1mbp for $99

oops, missed that one. doesnt change the fact id like to have 1mbps of internap at $99 =]

Yes, I'm afraid that is true. You can actually transfer up to 2Mbit (1mbit both ways). However, your also limited on data-transfer usage (100GB per month). This is due to the fact that giving everyone 100mbit full duplex ports at the moment would be insane and would cause "speed" issues to some. I hope to upgrade the cap on each server to 10Mbit full duplex as soon as possible :)

Above it says "100%" network uptime SLA. Hopefully uptime in general is close to that, right?

What services do you provide for colo? And what is your rate for extra service?

The Dell PowerEdge 1550 is the only Dell server we have which could support SCSI drives and we will get a price asap.

Whitebox prices will be added soon. I might be able to add SCSI prices to that too.

The network has a 100% uptime guarantee. Should our network be down for any reason you will be credited 5% of your monthly fee per 10 mins of network downtime (upto 30% credited / 1 hour). This is very unlikely and if it should happen beyond 1 hour of total network downtime in the month which it accures in you will have the next month 100% free.

Please note, this does not include server downtime. If your server is down, we will stride to get it up as soon as possible (according to pre-defined instructions).

It depends on how many U you require?
How much bandwidth you require?

Bigger orders we could work on additional services, but for standard orders there are no plans to offer additional services.

I also wonder, how do you provider a fully managed server but only guarantee network uptime? How about hardware failure? Also, since it's a fully managed server, how about if apache (or any other software) crashes?

If you only provider network uptime (which is easy, since Internap guarantees 100% network uptime), does not it sound like a colocation instead of a fully managed server?

But anyway, good offer :)

Hello,

This is a fully managed server at unmanaged server pricing. If apache or any other software crashes, we will fix it asap. Hardware failure... We will replace the hardware at no cost to the client.

Yes, InterNAP guarantees 100% network uptime in the USA. We also pass on this uptime guarantee to the client. We do not guarantee server uptime because we do not monitor servers (we plan to add this feature soon).

More operating systems are available subject to request.

There servers are limited stock (especially lowest end). We will see how this goes.

Bandwidth is provided by Cogent Communications via a GigaBit Ethernet Connection. We also connect direct to Yipes via a GigaBit Ethernet Connection. - Bandwidth will be routed primary via Cogent.

This are a completely UNMANAGED servers. We only do 3 things FREE:

Soft/Hard Reboots
OS REinstalls
Hardware Upgrades

Other support services are available at $100/HR (billed in 6MIN blocks ($10)).

Yes, but there were only TWO requests from this board. We have sold all our inventry and we dont have alot of bandwidth left. 5 x P3 servers should be setup on or around the 20th of November :)

We have not been able to buy anymore "lower end" servers. Anyone know any places where we can buy 1U rackmount servers with the specs above? (except p3). We do not have a lot of Rackspace left in Layerone, TX.

Grandad, did you recieve my email regarding the server you requested?

Tazzy you made the offer at 10.08 GMT
I replied (PM) at 10.29 GMT and you said (PM) you were sold out of the ones that I wanted but made an offer of another for the same price. I replied that that was okay (PM) and have heard nothing from you since either by PM or email!

Sorry, a miscommunication on my part. I'm just doublechecked your second pm now. I'm afraid we will not be getting any more servers of those spec.

We will be only getting servers P3 1.26ghz+ at $129.00/Mo (excluding CPanel , $19.00/Mo for CPanel) [special offer to clear inventry is no longer valid.]

If your interested in a P3 1.26Ghz with 512MB SDRAM with a 60GB Seagate IDE HDD and 500GB Multihomed Data-transfer with CPanel for $148.00/Mo (This is the lowest spec that will be available). Please PM me and I will reserve one of the five which will be available on the 20th of this month for you.

I'm very sorry for this confusion, I will pm you should we get any lower spec servers instock.

On a side note, just to let everyone know we have added a GigaBit Ethernet connection (100Mbps CAPPED, as are the other two connections) to our network and are negotiating for C&W + MCI/Worldcom Connectivity. The prices quoted will not increase and neither will the bandwidth decress when this changes are made. We offer a multihomed network service now, instead of Cogent preference for an extreamly low price. The low-spec inventry will still continue to have Cogent on preference however with Yipes backup (due to low cost and CPanel being included).

We hope to have 6 connections (AT&T, C&W, Cogent, MCI/Worldcom, XO, Yipes[Genuity/Level3]) by 1/1/2003. The LayerOne Data-center in Dallas, TX is extreamly well connected :)

On another note, we are negotiating for rackspace in LayerONE, Sydney with bandwidth from Optus, Qwest, Teleglobe, Telsta. Would anyone be interested in Rackspace in this data-transfer or a server?

Pricing Estimate:

P3 1.26Ghz, 512MB SDRAM, 60GB Seagate IDE HDD, 100GB Multihomed Data-transfer per month - $199.00/Monthly + $250.00/Setup

That is the kind of price range we're looking at. Data-transfer overcharge around $3.00 per GB.

I will PM you an IP (please note, the IP will be a router IP and not a server IP, however this router will not be a router which ANY of our customers will connect to).

I'm hoping to a get a server setup so everyone can test a file. I'll send you that IP address as well. Once its up and running. (will only connect to Cogent). But our core network (multihomed) has more network capasity than the singlehomed cogent only network and is also load balanced and multi-redundent.
