Does anyone have any recent reviews on echo-inc.com merchant account?

Did anyone manage to get $99 setup fee waived by any chance? I've e-mailed to them about it, and never got any response - I'm transferring from another merchant.

We love Echo. No, couldn't get the $99 waived -- but their prices are good enough that it doesn't matter, IMO.

We have been using echo for five months now nad have been very happy. The only problem is that you can only do monthly billing but that is okay.

FYI they aren't a merchant they are a payment gateway 2 different things.

They are a merchant account provider with their OWN payment gateway. See:

They provided us our Visa/MC merchant accounts, and we use them as the gateway for our Discover and Amex.

Oh, and I just noticed this note at the bottom of that page:

"Using another processor? Switch to ECHO and we'll waive the set-up fee!"

I wonder if that applies to people using third party processors like PayPal and such? Hmmmm, sounds like a deal for those folks.
