View Full Version : RegFly.com Domain Registrar
m00fie 06-08-2009, 11:20 PM Im coming to WHT to see if I can find an answer...
I have registered a domain with RegFly only because it was cheaper. Well, needless to say, I completed the purchase last week on Thursday or so and as of today (Monday) I am still unable to modify the nameservers to my domain. The error given is INVALID ORDER STATUS. I have purchased many domains in the past with RegFly and have never had an issue. Live support is not available and I have sent several messages from the message center on my RegFly account, but have not received a response back. Im hoping that this issue is fixed soon. I have a client who's server space and domain are urgently needed and nothing can be done at this point in time.
serversignature 06-09-2009, 12:36 AM RegisterFly has been re branded as RegFly, from my research, i had an account with them but now i moved to godaddy.
It better to move to where you get support.
Toeki 06-09-2009, 12:54 AM Check the whois to see if the domain is registered...
Maybe you paid them but they didn't register it... RF does do that.
netearth 06-09-2009, 04:19 AM I would get the domain registered through Godaddy if you cant confirm it has been registered by doing a whois, go here http://www.samspaode.org and put the domain in, if it comes up blank or not found, for the sake of your customer, get over to GD and get registered.
You're a fool registering domains at RegFly. My advice is the same as others. It probably was never registered and they just took your money. I'd also transfer any domains out of RegFly, ASAP.
mrzippy 06-11-2009, 01:41 PM Check to see if the domain is registered. (Do a whois on the domain, and see what are the results.)
If it is not registered, then go to a different registrar and register it right away. Then do a chargeback on your credit card that you paid to registerfly, for service paid for but not delivered.
In the future, before doing business with someone, I highly advice doing some basic research. These forums are filled with the "registerfly scandal" that occured a while ago, where they basically stole people's money and delivered nothing but air. ICANN (the org that overseas domain registrations) had to take away their certification and moved all domains under their control to a different company.
Registerfly and regfly = crooks
Right Hosting 06-12-2009, 11:00 AM RegisterFraud, whoops I mean registerfly, can't beleive they are still kicking after the huge problems they caused for thousands of domain owners a few years ago. There were many threads on this forum and other domain forum about how people were locked out of their domains, lost large amounts of money, no support, not payments return and the CEO was living the high life in Florida with all the cash he took of customers... google it, I'm sure it now has many pages to read the history.

You are one of the lucky few then.
Currently they keep emailing me to advise me:
I MAY have 1 domain reg. with them about to expire !
At best they are questionable, others have said it stronger [& Maybe more accurately].
Andreyfidrya 06-16-2009, 09:16 AM To avoid situations like this one I prefer not to economize a few dollars per a year and recommend my customers reliable registrars only - Namecheap and GoDaddy! In fact, having economized 2-3 dollars per a year for 1 domain you will have more problems in the future.
