I did find a previous topic about game server control panels but its 4 years old so maybe there is some new stuff out there.

What I am looking for is a control panel that I can buy/lease that does everything. From billing to creation of game and voice servers to control of game and voice servers. I have looked at cPanel but they don't do billing. I also don't want to resell service for The Planet.

Basically I want people to go to my website, find the game the want hosted (or Ventrilo if that's what they want), select a location, configure their server, pay for their server, have the payment authorized, and have them start using their server.

Also I would like it to be run on Linux and Windows. I have seen many solutions like SCInterface, GameCP, TC Admin, etc. I was just looking to see which panels people like using and maybe a nudge in the right direction.

I know it seems like a lot to ask for from a control panel but if its not full featured then its basically the same thing as doing it from the command line.

Thanks in advance.

I don't run a game server website or anything, but I do manage very popular CS: S servers.

We have had to change hosts many times because our hosts can not support our bandwidth consumption, and throughout our time I have seen many different game panels. I would have to say that the GameCP was one of the best. It was easy to see when bills were due, had a very fast FTP client, could easily manage servers and watch the console and had support tickets built into it. I never had any problems with it.

One of my worst would have to be TCadmin, It was easy to navigate although I found the FTP server that came bundled with it to be very slow when logging in etc. Plus it doesn't look half as good as GameCP

For game servers + voice servers I'd recommend WHMCS + TCAdmin (WHMCS for billing and TCAdmin for server administration).

This might sound crazy but I know we had our panel custom built for around $4000 when we launched. If you have that type of startup cash available then I'd highly suggest that instead. Just start with the basics and you can keep adding as you get more clients.

If the above is out of the question then I'd suggest taking John's advice of the WHMCS + TCADMIN option.

Best of luck. Update the thread with your choice as I'm sure it will help the next person that searches on this topic!

I would go with TCADMIN, it doesn't have billing built into it but you can easily set it up to work with either clientexec, whmcs, or modernbill. Also in response to tcadmin's slow ftp, most web based ftp's are pretty slow and you are always better off doing it the old school way.

We moved forward with GameCP, though ditched the billing/ticket system in favor of something home grown. That choice was due to better integration as opposed to missing features.

Overall, I've been happy with GameCP thus far and for our needs, it does exactly what it's supposed to do. They also seem to have a somewhat open development community and are willing to take feature requests I think.

If you're really unsure, test drive some of them. GameCP has a 30 day trial and TCAdmin has a 20 day trial.

We've used TCA for years, been completely efficient for us. All of the other panels are badly written and slow imo.
