We started our bussines with GoDaddy, we are a hosting company in Colombia and we get our domains for $7.49 per year. Its a very good price, but we really need to automate our process for register/renew domains. We are not using the API reseller because we need to send payments using wire transfers and we are in Colombia, a wire transfer may take some days to USA. Another problem is, if we buy a API reseller account in GoDaddy we can't just start using the API with the domains that we have already registered in GoDaddy, I need to transfer this domains to the reseller account, so I need to pay more than $7.XX USD per domain, and we have many, and Im not interested to pay for a domain that I don't know if my client will renew.

I was thinking to buy in onlinenic.com, I filled the form but, thanks to GOD, I read before in another post of wht that they have legal issues with verizion.

Another option is ResellerClub, but we have our own Customer Panel build in PHP, we have in our webserver PHP 5 and I don't feel so well downgrading my PHP version to PHP 4, because the API that they offer just work with PHP 4 (why? I don't know, they should fix that).

Enom, it appears to be a very good registrar but they plans are very expensive, you can start buying packages with and without enom points, if you buy without enom points you are wasting your money with the setup fee, and if you buy with enom poits you have to pay about $7000 USD to have a "good price" $7.95.

I exposed my problem and if any have comments or sugestion, its will be really welcome!

If you need assistance the KB articles are there for it :)

Hello,

I recommend using eNom, as they are very good reseller. Do a search on these forums and you can find some resellers to create a free account for you with pricing of $8.45. :)

I'd say pickup a eNom reseller account from say WHMCS(8.95/per domain) or ClientExec ($8.45/per domain)

Cheap way to get started using eNom, and personally, the eNom API is well tested, and it just works.

Thank you all for the replies, if I request a free account from someone in the forum, he will have access to my domains? and is posible that I can get a better price of $8.45 USD? Will be I a sub-reseller or its like a normal reseller account bought directly to enom?

I already purchase a reseller account in ResellerClub.com and I already sent a payment for more than $500 USD. Someone know the service of resellerclub?

Thank you

.. if I request a free account from someone in the forum, he will have access to my domains?

Hello,

No, your "parent" reseller will not have direct access to the domains in your account.

.. and is posible that I can get a better price of $8.45 USD?

Yes, this is possible.. however, there is no incentive for a "parent" reseller to give you lower pricing, since the lowest pricing directly from eNom is $7.95. If your parent reseller gives you this same price.. then they must provide support and service to you.. and they will not make any money.

If you want pricing lower then $5.45, then you will need to either sell many domains, or you should signup directly with eNom.

(If you sell many domains, then perhaps your parent reseller can negotiate a lower price for you. Contact them and ask them.)
