What are some good online support systems? Like a ticket system or help desk or something. Preferable a PHP based one, i'd love one like Rackspace uses. I don't care the cost.

This is needed ASAP!!

I am using PerlDesk for my clients, it is not php, but it does the job.

I've seen a few hosts using eSupport: http://www.kayako.com/engine.kayako.generate?_a=es&_p=features

Never used it, though...

We use perldesk , but there are a few php alternatives ..just pull up google and you'll find a few :)

http://DeskPro.com is one of the best php support helpdesks. We've used all of the others mentioned above but we decided to spend a few nickles and it's been really worth it.

Not to hijack the thread, but successful can you tell me in what ways you feel that Deskpro is better. I have considered it a number of times and I have almost purchased it several times...but didn't. Can you give me a little more information?

Second that one Jim. We use the phpsupportdesk and many of our Resellers do too.

Rackspace developed their own system and I don't think it's particulary that good. I preferred it before the "upgrade".

I like perldesk a lot as well.

I'm curious to know more about Desk Pro. It really doesn't look like it has much that the others don't, so I'm curious to know what justifies that price tag.

As an end user of PHPSupportDesk, I would not recommend it. I've found it to be buggy (sometimes you can add on to your ticket, sometimes you can't) and it always is a turnoff when people who charge for their software can't even strip slashes.

That said, I'm only an end user (dv2 uses PHPSD) so maybe there's a fantastic admin control panel (that allows you to either show the slashes or not??? :stickout: ) or something, but I definately haven't been impressed by it.

We use DeskPro, very nice system, fast, easy to use, our customers really like it too, with its integrated knowledge base and some very nifty features planned for v2.

We use perldesk. It's ok - does the job and it's easy to add a knowledge/FAQ as well. It does, however, have a few bugs so we are looking forward to the, hopefully, next upgrade.
