Hi,

Just wondering, anyone had experience with unitedhosting.co.uk? I'm thinking about signing up! Just wondering about their prices, they are good for the amount they offer.

Any good/bad comments? :)

Well maybe if you look a little lower, i.e. a few threads below this post, you'll see a review thread on UnitedHosting!

Fazel3, Anita is only "thinking of going ahead."

I have noticed that you seem to have a preference for posting - pease refrain from posting non-contructive posts - they take up my time to read them.

(if you like to discuss my opinion on you further, please PM me. I don't want to bring this thread off-topic).

At the risk of bring this thread off-topic more, I am going to post a little of where I am coming from.

I don't mind the jokes. However, once Fazel3 post something, it takes *all* the readers to read through them.

Call me un-humorous, but I am not interested in Fazel3's joke. On the other hand, I am quite interested in discussion on United Hosting. It would be inconsiderate for Fazel3 to force everyone to read through his post.

(I really prefer the discussion to resume on United Hosting - please PM for further correspondence on the matter of post constructiveness).

(note to Fazel3: this is just a gentle reminder - I don't mean any offense to you personally).

I'm not out to start a flame war, but ckpeter has to be the champion of "non-constructive posts," and this is one of them. Not that people don't need to be reminded of the forum rules sometimes, but a huge chunk of his posts are to remind people of the rules. Last time I checked, ckpeter wasn't on the list of mods.

So hey, ckpeter, chill out with all the non-constructive posts--they take up my time to read them.

But seriously, FWIW, UH-Matt recently made me an offer for hosting after I posted in the "Hosting Wanted" section. I did not take his offer, but of the fifteen or so that I received his was probably the most courteous, and one of the three or so that actually paid attention to the details of my request, which bodes well for their service.

I'm sorry you didn't find the joke funny, but I'm sure Matt's shown that site to plenty of people on his AIM list and I happen to be one of those people. I just thought I'd take the chance and rib him about it here, there's really no harm done.

I know you like to stay on-topic and seem to be a very serious, right-to-the-point kind of guy, but really that's just your preference. Others like to do things in their own way. I'm sure both Anita and Matt didn't take offence, and if they did I would apologize immediately. Anyone seeking an opinion on United Hosting would have found my first post in the thread useful in any case.

It's not an ideal world, and if you gripe about everything you don't like, then I think you're pretty sad.

Anita,

I have a personal account with them, i have found no faults, i have had no downtime (that i have noticed anyways.) Support has been fast, and staff go that extra mile to help.

I would give them the thumbs up. :)
