Hello, I have been reading this forum for a few days now and came to the conclusion most on this forum are against Unlimited Web Hosting and Unlimited Reseller Hosting, Most on here say this buisness model is the framework for failure. I look on ebay and on google and see loads of people who offer unlimited Hosting and unlimited reseller hosting. I have also look at many of your sites and notice not to many offer Unlimited hosting.
I can see the advantage to selling unlimited accounts this would be a fast way to generate buisness, On my site I offer Unlimited Hosting accounts <<snip>> am I setting myself up for failure, should I put limits on my hosting packages and reseller packages.
I also know selling unlimited hosting can and will lead to server over crowding one downside
What is the best business model to attract customers when all they have to do is search for unlimited hosting and find many who offer it, what is the best way to convince people unlimited reseller accounts suck, and what you offer is the best.
PLEASE HELP ME

Well, when you offer "unlimited" space and bandwidth, you're allowing users to use your servers' resources to whatever extent. Unless you have limits set in place and know how to manage and control your server and clients' use on resources then you should do fine.
It's not necessarily setting yourself up for failure. There are several companies who are doing very well offering unlimited plans but that's because they know how to manage their servers and control their clients well.

Where can I read to learn more about managing my server and clients, I think I have a good TOS In place that states what type of sites I will host and what sort of scripts etc are allowed

You are already in the right place :-),
Try checking out the Running a Web Hosting business forum (http://www.webhostingtalk.com/forumdisplay.php?f=6) it'll have a ton of useful info for you to absorb.
If you have diffulty with doing it yourself then you could always hire experienced help. There is a forum on here for that too.
Good luck.

I would say, if you are offering unlimited hosting and you don't know how to manage your clients or server resources then stop offering this kind of service. I assume that, only trained and experienced staff can offer this of service like hostgator, hostmonster and lunarpages do.

There's a difference between offering unlimited shared hosting, which will be used for the needs of one person/organization, and another thing to offer it for reseller accounts.
You can have an "all you can eat" restaurant (it's a proven business model), but you cannot have someone resell this for the price of what 3 consumers have to pay. It just won't work. ;)
I guess you just need to find resellers that understand this, or make them understand it.

Stay away from those scammy eBay offers! They're tempting, but they use hit-and-run tactics. They're oversellers and most of the time they disappear within a year and 'poof' so does your money and refund.
I've had it happen to me once, it's one of those 'too-good-to-be true' things. And well...it is too good to be true. They may claim a one time fee and the truth is they're not legit hosting companies most of the time. And sure you can report them, but who's to say you'll get your money back?
