Hi.

I currently have a reseller account with Innohosting and am about to purchase another one with a different provider as I will want to keep certain customers on the Inno plan only.

What I'm wondering is, how do I handle this as far as the name servers go? If I place an account on to the new server, how would I go about keeping the name servers the same as they are with my inno-hosted accounts?

Additionally, would I need to get another WHMCS license for the second host so it can automatically bill, provision accounts, etc or is there a way to handle it all from the existing one?

Thanks,

Dave

Hi Dave :)

Simple way of doing it..

Have ns1 -> ns4 with us as you have normally.
With your 2nd host, have ns6/ns7..
Customers installed on the 2nd host should be provided with ns6/7, customers you put with us can use 1 - 4 (assuming you are using 4 nameservers with us)..

Additionally, would I need to get another WHMCS license for the second host so it can automatically bill, provision accounts, etc or is there a way to handle it all from the existing one?

The same WHMCS install will do. Add the 2nd host as 2nd server in WHMCS. Enter the details as normal. You can then choose which host to be activating the account when a customer orders (they can also then be sent the correct nameservers).

Hope that helps :agree:

Exactly! Looks like you made the right choice going with Inno as your primary reseller provider. :gthumb: Great response time by Rameen!
