Ahmed Saleh 05-28-2009, 09:38 PM Hello every one ,
I have a medium web site that consume more than 300 G.B of traffic monthly and i was transferred to Crucialp.com and now they started to notify me about resource usage and many notifications about my web site and they host more than 1000 website on ONE server with 8 CPUS & 16 G.B of RAM .
NOW , i want to transfer to another company offers Big value of Traffic (more than 500 G.B / monthly) , Good server and GOOD PRICE .
i'm waiting your advices .
trustedurl.com 05-28-2009, 09:39 PM How resource intensive is your site? You might want to consider a dedicated server instead of a reseller acct.
bdford 05-28-2009, 09:41 PM I am not sure what you budget is, but have you looked into a managed VPS? It sounds like you may have outgrown the shared/reseller market.
Ahmed Saleh 05-28-2009, 09:44 PM No , I'm looking for a shared Reseller but with good price , Traffic and server .
i visited : hostdime.com it offers good plans but the clients comments on the company wasn't good .
David Anderson 05-28-2009, 09:46 PM What's your budget? Its identification is really important to suggest you a better option accordingly.
Ahmed Saleh 05-28-2009, 09:48 PM i can pay 20$ monthly .
Or any thing but the important the traffic and the server hardware .
note : 15 - 30 G.B Disk space 600 (or more) G.B of Traffic .
Ahmed Saleh 05-28-2009, 10:03 PM you don't know a name of company
foobic 05-28-2009, 10:27 PM It seems to me that your site needs the resources of a small dedicated server all to itself. What kind of site is it? A forum with 300GB+ traffic could fit this description. If so a $20 budget probably won't be enough, no matter which host or what type of hosting you choose.
Ahmed Saleh 05-28-2009, 10:32 PM i'm looking for reseller hosting .
the website is a site for a very famous Egyptian artist (Tamer Hosny)
and i offer Tracks , Videos , Master Images and more .
Tamerstar[dot]com
i just want to know good companys at first .
foobic 05-28-2009, 10:43 PM Do you have caching options in PHP-Nuke? Most of these CMSs can be resource hogs, particularly if you have lots of plugins enabled, but with good use of static cached pages you might be able to reduce your resource usage dramatically. If you could do that then you might just be able to keep the site where it is...

300GB+ traffic would be mostly for media files.
300GB Forum traffic with forumdisplay and viewthread can bring down a small server :D
Ahmed, you can ask crucialp to provide screenshot of cpu resource usage
A VPS is more suitable for your website but you can negotiate with the host to offer a custom package.
Ahmed Saleh 05-28-2009, 10:49 PM no the resurces usage was from the forum .
But I'm Looking for a new company to have more Traffic not for the resource usage .
becouse the visitors do many downloads and the sites curve is going up (More visits) .
PremiumHost 05-28-2009, 10:53 PM How much bandwidth do you need?
Crucialp offer hundreds of GBs bandwidth with their reseller plans.
Ahmed Saleh 05-28-2009, 10:58 PM I Know that the VPS is not helpful it will do a high load on it .
foobic 05-28-2009, 11:02 PM Ah right - there's a vB forum too! Downloads aren't your problem - finding the resources to run a site like that for $20 will be. Good luck with your search.
Ahmed Saleh 05-28-2009, 11:07 PM Okay , Thanks .

If you really required a high bandwidth & webspace, you may go for either VPS or dedicated servers. you are doing really good by reviewing post before choosing a hosting company.
