Total newbie question:
Is it possible to have two different sets of DNS resolve to the same IP address? For example, can I have ns1.domain1.com and ns2.domain1.com point to an IP address and also create ns1.domain2.com and ns2.domain2.com to point to the same IP? Or, do I need different IPs for each set of DNS?
Thanks.

Nope. You must have a seperate IP for each nameserver, otherwise the registrars won't put it through.

That's what I thought, but wasn't sure. Thanks a bunch. :)

I bleleive you can register two name servers with same IP.

In my experience, it depends on the registrar. It used to be necessary to have an unique IP for each DNS but some registrars do not require it anymore.

As already stated, thats no longer an issue.. registrars will now accept multiple name servers onto the same IP.. :)
