Who if any do you recommend for purchasing a .name domain? I have looked at the pricing across registrars and I have seen them from $7.99-$34.99. I really don't want to spend more than say $15/year on the domain so I'd like recommendations from anyone who has purchased .name domains, are with a provider who sells .name domains, or can vouch for a domain company they know sells them.
Thanks
Try http://www.name.com/. I've had a good experience with them personally. NameCheap and or GoDaddy are good too.

Name.com is one of them I have been considering. Have you had any downtime with them or any issues with not being able to contact customer service? I would have went with NameCheap or GoDaddy but neither support the .name domain. GoDaddy use to support it but has dropped support for it now.
Also does anyone have any experience with 1and1.com(just their domains not hosting) or dynadot.com?
I don't really use the Customer Service when I purchase domains. I stopped using external companies after I started in the hosting industry. When I did use their support it wasn't bad at all.

Name.com is decent registrar with clean user friendly interface, but their customer support service imho isn't that great as some people claim. It's available only in working days and to be honest even then aren't fast with answers if they reply at all.

NameCheap and or GoDaddy are good too.Yes, they are really good registrars, but NameCheap seems not to offer .name extention.

Well, registrars are generally large, there a small hosting companies but not registrars, you see the price they have to pay Icann Is large enough for them to be a large company. :P
besides,I have a couple of my domain names with Godaddy, they seem ed okay to me.

My favorite registrar is name.com. I love that their website is fast and easy to use, plus it doesn't bug you with special offers.

For any TLD and ccTLD including .name, you can consider OwnRegistrar.com.

I tend to disagree with this. They are very helpful, and how many critical issues could you have that require 24/7 support?
Their service definitely is great. When you get a reply, it's from someone that can actually do something about an issue, rather than some third world outsourced support.
.name is $8.99 there, btw, in case anyone is wondering.
P.S.
They also have a great sense of humor at name.com ;)
