i have had a "shared account with hostican for almost a year now, before i started seeing those resource/CPU emails.so i decided to move to a VPS by another host(ServInt).
Problem is they HostIcan denied to unlock my domain unless i cancel the entire hosting package, and they promised me once i do that i will have full access to my domain, something that did not happen.
after they canceled my account they removed my A-records,only gave me the EPP code(which is useless without authorisation email to my name)lock me out of my domain login form and are not replying my tickets as well as replying phone calls.white i thought would be a seamless transition is now a nightmare!!
i don't know how to proceed but is there any other way to do this?

i tried contacting register.com but they said that without A records they can't move my domain,or it will have to take 5-8 working days!!since they have to manually transfer details of my domain.

5-8 days is better than nothing. Take register.com up on their offer since they are the only ones talking to you and willing to help out.

Getting your domain back from a hosting company can be very time consuming, you will have to be patient.

yeah,i had to learn that the hard way!i have been calling them for more than 12 hours now!is their service center closed?!tried every way possible just to contact them..,all i need i access to my domain.and it cost merely $10!!i don't understand why any business would do that!it's just not worth it in my opinion.
but i will be more than glad to post a special "stay away from HostIcan" post, once this is over.

my recommendation for now is stay away at any cost!!HOSTICAN is not worth even free hosting the way i see it now!
