Is anyone using FirstACH to initiate ACH transfers? Are you happy with the service or would it be easier to go through PayPal?

Are you happy with the service or would it be easier to go through PayPal? ebeing 07-28-2009, 09:07 AM FirstACH is a bad company to process with. They charge high fees and do not handle the processing themselves so, if you have a problem you have to run around and contact someone else, especially bad for chargebacks. The risk department at FirstACH has a really bad way of doing things. example: i put through a $4000 electronic check and needed to cancel. FirstACH refused to cancel the charge. They said I had to put the refund through my system. The problem is, they never funded my account with the money so, I would have had to pay $4000 out of my pocket, show proof of the return, then they would fund my the $4000 really really scaring way of processing. AVOID FIRSTACH RxNetwork 07-29-2009, 10:02 AM and what about altcharge? First ACH 06-07-2010, 03:07 PM Since 1998 First ACH has been providing a wide range of ACH and Credit Card merchant services for thousands of business owners across the USA. We are our own processor, and we work tirelessly to implement and uphold the data security of our merchants and their customers taking great efforts to comply with NACHA, PCI and the Credit Card Associations Rules and requirements. We consistently align our decisions with the core values we hold dear in doing what is right. The information provided in this post does not follow our processes or our business model, and is likely a scam posting. All the responses to complaints are the same canned response you see here from First ACH. I also discovered they have a D rating with the BBB. STAY AWAY! http://www.bbb.org/greater-maryland/business-reviews/financial-services/firstach-in-columbia-md-90093709 First ACH 06-17-2010, 03:36 PM Hello, ggstorms. It is true that many of our responses are similar, but not entirely. We do address the specific issues mentioned in every post, but the primary message we feel needs to be conveyed is that we are bound by regulations set forth by other agencies and must comply with them. It so happens, these same regulations are typically the reason for which complaints arise from customers that are not compliant. We can see that by your postings that you have reviewed several other processors in your search for the best fit for your business. Financial Service companies have fairly high numbers of complaints, and we do not feel that our company has a disproportionate number comparatively. It’s important to note that once a complaint or comment is filed in an online forum, the only way to “resolve” it is to pay for a subscription or a removal service (the BBB requires paid membership for A ratings, too). A company dedicated to the Customer should not have financial requirements as part of their evaluation criteria. nick771 06-29-2010, 02:14 PM and what about altcharge? We have several clients who use Altcharge and never had a problem. They use a unique banking system that goes through the federal reserve, but they can do pharma and others because of their system. The downside is they just accept checks from US based banks, but support is good. |
