Subject says it all.
I'm thinking of getting a dedicated with these guys, so good/bad feedback would be welcomed.
Cheers

We had a server with them for a while and I have to say I was quite impressed; decent network and friendly, helpful support. Also, you have to say that they are quite cheap considering the data centre is in the UK. I only ever used the server to test things out so I can't vouch for DediPower on the production server front but the service was quite good.
Hope this helps and good luck! :)

withdrawn.
But that's just my 2 cents.

Well, not everything has to be industrial grade... thats more typical of a noc thats been built from the ground up and expanded over time than someone who was handed a few million to go build one ready for large sizes... as long as it works and they have spares I don't see much wrong with it.

Could have been worse I suppose, they could have been using MDF book cases to hold servers.

LoL true..
from what I saw in the pictures it wasn't bad.. as long as the temp is properly controlled. The racks looked fairly well organized and I saw a few cabinets as well so all in all just from those pictures I wouldn't be concerned about my server being there... of course there's a lot of other factors that play in as well. I'm not familar with that exact type of AC unit so it'd be hard to say if they have enough cooling but as long as the temp is 72F or under it'll be more than adequate.

All depends on how picky you are I suppose, me, I'm pretty picky lately.

Well, I worry more about the things that matter, such as support behind a noc and their network as well as the temp control. I don't care if its not pleasing to the eye as long as it works and works well :)

This is my opinion as well. I think the redundancy of 5 store bought A/C units is much better than a single huge Liebert unit anyday
I'd rather see a line of TRANE(tm) units lined up outside a datacenter anyday. This means any two could fail and the others would take the load easy, as long as they were initially loaded properly, and on programmable thermostats.
Dedipower is making a smart move in the DIY AC's as far as I'm concerened. Clean looking racks, too.
A generator is another story!:dunce: That would take a few more smarts.

Just stumbled across this... wanted to clear up the aircon thing...
It's a professional grade aircon, 96,000 BTU running on 3-phase power. That's one of 2 - each on it's own can keep the room at the correct temperature. And no, you can't do a DIY with them! (not unless you want to have a go at lifting the external unit which is about 250KG on a ladder...). I think the confusion may come from the fact that it's a floor standing unit - these are usually configured with ducting up to the roof which feeds to vents. However in our case we didn't need that!
We've actually been very impressed with the high-end LG aircons - very reliable and good airflow. I've heard they are making a big impact in Africa/Asia... The new version even has a RJ45 plug and can be directly controlled/monitored from the net... now I want one of those!
