Hi there. I was wondering if anyone has used a web host called Interned Services (is.nl). I'm based in Canada but I do have a Dutch clientele, so I'm not sure if it's me and my location or it's normal behaviour, but I've noticed some very slow response times from the server (both FTP and site) and some very unusual error messages from the custom error (500 and 404) pages that I've had set up on their servers. Has anyone else had similar problems or is it just me being ... well, me?

Hi,
This may be called bashing, but since I am not a host myself I consider this as an opinion:
They host on NT servers, and I heard from my former boss (who had a few servers in the same NOC) that their servers where the most cheap equipment he had ever seen. He didn't say that as bashing too, since it was not his competitor, it was just his opinion. The servers had lots of downtime and were just poorly maintained.
That was half a year ago. They changed their site's look, and hopefully they changed their servers equipment too.
You may get at look at other NT hosters at http://www.webselect.nl of http://www.webhosters.nl.
I live in the Netherlands myself by the way, and the NOC I was talking about is in Amsterdam.

Actually, I think you may have some valid points and I thank you for your opinion. (I've sort of had that hunch myself). I'd like to know more details in order to pass on to my client to warn him of potential impending problems. The only thing I know so far is that the servers don't have SQL Server 2000 on them (they're running 7.0). Feel free to PM me if you've got any more information. Thanks.
