View Full Version : Recommendations for a UK Reseller Account
BornMunson 05-13-2009, 01:04 AM Does anyone got an recommendations for a good place in the UK to order reseller hosting? Our main concern is tech support, response times, and reliability, so we would prefer to go with an established company. Other then that we have basic needs:
Cpanel
5-20GB storage
50-100GB transfer/month
under £15/month
Price is not our main concern, we are willing to pay more for an established company that has a good track record of response times and tech support.

Have you tried looking on the Offers Forums ?
Thanks
Hi,
there are a lot of posts regarding UK hosting in the Offers section. You could make a list and contact the hosts to test their responses to your questions.
Check out the guys at ifusehosting.com :)
BornMunson 05-13-2009, 03:41 AM I have checked the offers section of the forum and there is some good deals, but it is always better to get a server that others have used before and would recommend. I have had some bad experiences in the past, so any recommendations would be appreciated.

Those hosts and nice deals you've found, run some searches on the hosts name here on WHT and you should find something.
If not, then ask about the host here. :)
Most importantly - ask the host loads of questions before you signup so you don't end up in a deep dark hole.
Best of luck. :)
CyberHostPro 05-13-2009, 06:00 AM Hi
Your requirments are quite reasonable. Have you looked at the hosting offers forums on here and other sites? www.webhostchat.co.uk is a good one to look at too!
fishforcarp 05-13-2009, 06:43 AM If your after a firm recommendation, I always recommend Ezpzhosting.co.uk (http://ezpzhosting.co.uk).
I've submited support tickets about trival things, marked them low priority and have always hads a reply within ten minutes. Never noticed any downtime, my site always seems fast and everyone seems very friendly. My site is pleasurefishing.com.
Just as an aside I went into cpanel the other day and I notice Installatron has been added. Much better than Fantastico, in my opinion and a good selling point for your future customers. In any case I now seem to have both.
Dan_EZPZ 05-13-2009, 07:21 AM Thanks for the recommendation fishforcarp - The initial idea was to replace Fantastico with Installatron but it looks like we'll be running both :)
lady2009 05-13-2009, 01:41 PM Have heard many good things about rshosting.com (http://www.rshosting.com) when it comes to expensive but quality hosting in UK, however I personally do not have any experience with them as of yet.

You may want to have a look at unitedhosting.co.uk (no personal experience). They are the more established web host. The prices are higher, but from what I hear, it's on par with the quality.. You can find some reviews of them here http://whreviews.com/unitedhosting.htm
If you want one with a proven track record, then find those with reviews which has reviews going back to years to show a real track history. Some have their moments, while some have consistently good reviews going back years.. WHT is a good place to search for the reviews..
As the saying goes, you get what you pay for.. All the best with your search :agree:
ludwigvb 05-15-2009, 09:13 PM If fast support is what you want you may search for a company with online help desk available or 24/7 phone support.
"an established company" means that you search among the BIG companies right?
I have seen a post here about EU datacenters. Many of them are in UK. I suggest searching in google cause I triied searching here and I could not find the post again :(
Dan-CKS 05-17-2009, 12:58 PM Sometimes Ebay have some great offers from there ranging from £1- £10 Not Bad!!!

I think I would need to research a host very carefully, before I bought from them off ebay.
Dan_EZPZ 05-17-2009, 01:32 PM Ebay tends to be full of 'Unlimited' hosts looking to make some quick money before disappearing or not renewing their reseller account. I'd stay well away to be honest.
HostThree 05-17-2009, 01:38 PM I would say check out Innohosting, top notch!

Thanks for the recommendation Scott! :agree:
HWC-khalemi 05-21-2009, 05:13 AM Check out the guys at ifusehosting.com :)
I would not recommend ifusehosting.com.
but please checkout =>

Support is fast and friendly. I think Dan-EZPZ is around here.
Thanks
DATARTIM 05-21-2009, 10:00 AM Sounds like pretty straight forward needs.
Do you need billing systems, site builders or anything of that nature ?
albatroz 05-24-2009, 04:16 PM fishforcarp,
How long have you been working with EZPZ?
