Problems? Installation errors? ckpeter 11-03-2002, 02:38 AM If I remember correctly, phpmanager does have a trial version. Why didn't you try out the trial version before buying it? Also, they do have a 14 days refund policy (with a $10 deductible). Peter SoftWareRevue 11-03-2002, 05:22 AM When you call something "junk," shouldn't you have something that you're basing that on? I know several people that use phpManager, myself included, that would higly disagree with your assessment. It works quite well. About the only negative thing is; it's underpriced. Sell out!!!! :D hehe, so you didn't like my Keep everything on a very large text document solution eh? SoftWareRevue 11-03-2002, 05:57 AM Heh . . . . . I keep everything on paper. Paper just isn't as interactive. :( Samuel 11-03-2002, 06:05 AM Hire an autistic child, it's what I did before I moved to a sticky on my monitor, then of course the high falutin text document solution. skoop 11-03-2002, 08:58 AM I'd also like to know why you call it crap ... so far it has worked for me. and I'm even using version 1.0 which misses some features (since I am a reseller and my host doesn't have mcrypt installed ... yet) TheTech 11-03-2002, 09:12 AM I really think phpManager is great. The only thing is that I paid for the full package, and the staff are never online to Instant Message. Other than that, it's a fast install, quick set up, self-explanatory most of the way. And full customizable to fit your web site. Goldwing 11-03-2002, 01:30 PM It cant handle domain registrations and it does not have any tax facilities. However it is not Junk, just a limited product, there is a 7 day trial which allows anyone to to check out whether it is going to work for them ( it didn't for me) - if only all products were like that!!! robbiem 11-03-2002, 03:19 PM Strangely enough in the beginning I paid for the installatin and they didn't install it. I never got a reply. I installed it on my own and it was working fine... I then added the WHM module which didn't work. After a week I finally heard from them and when they looked at it they said I needed to have my host fix it? So I didn't use the WHM module and it was working fine but now recently all of a sudden, when I go to view clients, www.domain.com has turned into www.www.www.domain.cccrrco.com.net on its own. All the data is getting mixed around and mixed with other data... I also get php errors all of sudden out of no where. So I really don't know what to say or do. iSPtek 11-03-2002, 03:51 PM Is phpmanager PHP version specific and has your host upgraded or changed the PHP install on the server? The alternative maybe that your database got fried and maybe wise to load a backup of the database or do a dump of it see if there are any problems you can see. But from what I've heard phpmanager is used by a lot of people so it may not be causing your specific problems. TheTech 11-03-2002, 03:55 PM If you still own your phpManager liscense, go to their forums and go to the member forums. I can't remember the url, but someone has a site of tools/hacks for domain registrations. Search for forums and give it a try. skoop 11-04-2002, 04:23 AM forums.taysoft.com is where you can get support |
