Hi guys,
My first real post of this website so be gentle :-) I need to find a method I can offer cPanel, Plesk and DirectAdmin to my VPS Clients without having to charge an arm and a leg, currently I can see other hosting providers giving it away or selling for $6 but the cheapest I can do is $15.
Could anyone shed any light on this for me?
Thank You

You might need to subsidies it for your clients. Other providers are probably getting a better deal buying in bulk. Can you purchase it directly from someone who is offering it for $6 and then give this to your client?

I don't think so as these reduced fee's and for internal licenses, and if this is given to an outside company this is no longer on an internal server, I have managed to find cheap licenses on Direct Admins main website, but I'm still having problems with the other 2.

Thank YouI don't see any Plesk & DirectAdmin external license before, so you may need to get them from the developer themselves. DirectAdmin internal VPS license cost $5 each, and Plesk, I'm not sure, but be ready to pay a large sum with them. I don't think it's wise to get a partnership with Parallels without a solid business plan or client base. cPanel external VPS licenses cost $12~$15 depending on provider, quantity and type(Virtuozzo/OpenVZ or others, for example, Xen). Some hosts out there can offer cPanel licenses for <$10 when the actual price with cPanel, Inc is $10 per license is because they had subsidised part of the cost into their pricing. In fact, it is marketing. If a client does not take that particular control panel, they profited the extra amount they intend to subsidise. Do take note that you have to pay thousands with cPanel before you can get things started, which is even more than Parallels registered partner.

After contacting them, they will quote you at $5/license. I suggest you to kick the idea of offering Plesk for now, and just offer cPanel. There are plenty of hosts out there offering cPanel for an additional $10~$15 anyway. Some just subsidise the cost a bit to look like they can offer it at a lower rate.

Lxadmin (or whatever it is called now) is free if your host is using HyperVM. I know others have different opinions, but I like Lxadmin once I got use to it.
