How much bandwidth will a text-only site consume and what are the factors that decide the bandwidth? (length of site, text etc)

Thanks guys!

1 character: hosting it on a 14.4 modem
1 MB per page: get ready to go dedicated

There's no way to even guess without knowing how big each page is and how many visitors there are (and how often).

Determine the size of each page(in IE it's file, properties) times the views per day and do that for each page.

I have three text only sites and I don't believe I have ever reached .5 gig in a month. More than a thousand daily views with many very small pages.

A 30K text only file written in html is a "humdinger".

What I meant by it was that if you coded directly rather than with a drop and drag, a 30K might be several hundred lines of text on the screen.

Some material by its nature you might want to breakup that way, but usually most visitors won't be happy having 15-20 screens of text on one page.
