Hello,

I've just signed with Directi.com to resell domain names but I had a bad surprise. We must put their contracts on our web site. On the contracts their name appears.

It's not really useful to have an anonymous control panel if you give the name of your "partner" on the web site.

I'd like to know how you deal with that problem on your own web site.

Thanks for your answers !

Hello,

Unfortunately, it's true.

They have a real anonymous system but if you make a whois on a domain name you se directi.com and not the reseller name.

And of course there are the contracts with their names you must place on your web site.

Quite strange.

It's a pity because they really have great prices.

Though, what else could it be in whois other than their name? I mean, they are registrar, you are just a reseller. I guess becouse you arent a registered registrar, your name cant apear there since it would be unlawfull.. wouldnt it?
In any case, this sux, since costumers can whois their domains and see that you are selling for directi and that your prices are bigger than from directi..

Are there any registrars for whom you can sell domains that arent signed in the whois of the domain?? Is this possible at all?

This is the case with any and all domain registrars. When your customers go to directi.com they will see that they need to buy in bulk to get the lower rates, so in effect you still should be able to sell to them with your markup price. Also a good % of people buying domains still dont know how to lookup whois. And thats from experience!
