Well, I have bene trying to track down the best option to offer a geocities/tripod type solution to offer usders free web space and have come across Home Free Pro from Solution Scripts at $499. It seems to be quite excellenmt spec wise offers lots of features to make it easy for people to create pages and also admin those pages.
But what do others think of it and has anyone installed it and got it working on an ENSIM server? I've got a dedicated server at Rackshack so need to be certain it will work.
Any feedback most welcome!

Hello,
We used to run a popular HomeFree based site. It was/is the older version of HomeFree, but it runs fine on an Ensim server. The only thing about HomeFree that I can say that is negative, is that the community that supports it has shrank in the past couple years, so it is somewhat harder to find good answers to questions.

The support for that product is utterly bad. It's a shame you can't view the members only forums. Bugs and support tickets often get ignored or don't get answered for weeks or months.

thanks for the info. the software looks great, but equally important is the back up and support. I had a look at Site Studio from PD Soft, which also looks excellent, but they charge $1.50 per user which can work out quite expensive. $450 for the full version as a one off is much more appealing.
So what packages are people using here for creating their own free web space is is Site Studio that has the biggest market share?
All I'm looking at is giving people when they sign up the option to have a WYSIWYG web interface option or the ability to FTP their own files.
Anything else I should be looking at?
