View Full Version : Offshore Payment Processor
3sgte_power 04-30-2009, 08:17 PM Hi,
am looking for a payment processor that can take online payments and process them and transfer the monies into an offshore account.
The website is based on OSCommerce
So far the only decent company i can find is Durango Merchant Services.
Can anyone vouch for this company.
The only other option it seems is 2CO, which there seems to be a fair few bad reviews.
fionix 05-01-2009, 05:53 AM Durango Merchant Services are brokers, and do have a great services you can rely on, the most of the service providers they work with have been in the business for a decent of time and are larger corporations with many years of experience.
Even with the reviews you will find on 2CO they are still a reliable company which just has that many clients that to avoid any negative reviews from time to time isn’t possible.
Looking at alternatives then you might look into Chronopay or the former metacharge, http://www.paypoint.net/ if you are in the US you should into the services CDG Commerce is offering or MerchantPlus.
Hope above helps.
u4t2t 05-02-2009, 01:46 PM it depend what kind of busienss you have, there are popular option for merchant account in Panama, Mauritus, Belize, Nevis. You would need to set up local company to get merchant account.

I agree, it depends on the type of business/product you plan to sell. A few of those mentioned will only process for certain business types, so be sure to read their TOS and acceptable types.
If your monthly volumes are greater than $40k or so (depending on bus type), you might consider getting a direct merchant account and utilize their preferred processor for a safe solution.
I hope this helps
u4t2t 05-06-2009, 05:05 PM you can get your own merchant account also with lower volume, $10000 per month in some banks
3sgte_power 05-06-2009, 08:00 PM Hmmm interesting. How do i go about setting up my own merchant account?
recovery_v 05-08-2009, 10:13 AM Use google, there are thousands of providers/ISO's to choose from. Remember, you will pay much higher to use an offshore account

These guys forgot to mention you need a processing history for almost all direct accounts. The stuff that's offered for new businesses is mostly 3rd party/agg stuff.
recovery_v 05-08-2009, 01:20 PM I am sure they can do a low limit (5K) processing based mainly on the principals credit/history
u4t2t 05-09-2009, 01:14 AM offshore banks will not provide merchant account for amounts lower then $10k per month
AndrewBo 05-09-2009, 04:39 PM 2CO is absolutely ok for any types of payments. Offshore or not offshore - this is a technical issue.
3sgte_power 05-10-2009, 08:25 PM Hi,
does anyone know if 2Checkout accepts payments on our own website or are they diverted to 2Checkout pages?
Thanks

iseree 05-13-2009, 11:17 AM You should open an account in HooPay (http://www.hoopay.com), they are offshore and they make withdrawals offshore

Do they also accept merchants from Europe or do the merchant need to incorporate in for instant dubai?
AskAR 05-19-2009, 09:14 AM I think they only support the clients from the UAE.
If you have a incorporate in dubai or any other emirates then you can take their service because they required a Trad License of the company to open a account with them.

can you give more details on this? a customer of mine has account with ADCB Bank and what's to process CC payments for his software company.
HostYourIdea 07-14-2009, 01:15 PM You didn't say what kind of product/service you are planning to sell. 2CO are very picky.
http://www.2checkout.com/community/blog/category/getting-started/our-policies
They are a global payment processor and they don't charge for ACH deposits to certain US and Canadian banks. I am considering them, but their fraud policy is what everyone seems to complain about.
trekker25 07-14-2009, 01:20 PM customer is offering some homemade software products and also making custom software for an hourly wage.
But 2CO charge 5.5%??? this can't be done cheaper?
