Hello,

We are facing Awstats cgi issue on windows. When we browse the domain its showing below result:
-----------------------------------------------------------
CGI Error
The specified CGI application misbehaved by not returning a complete set of HTTP headers.
-----------------------------------------------------------

We have solved it by restarting IIs but its happening again and again.

Any one have suggestion.

Thanks in advance

regards!

Maybe switch to Smarterstats which is a .Net application?

I've seen that issue with other CGI scripts, but not AwStats. What control panel software are you using?

Do you control the Windows server? If so, I recommend re-installing AwStats.

CGI and Windows don't necessarily play nice. I would also say use SmarterStats instead.

While you are getting out your wallet for SmarterStats (a very nice program) try this hotfix from ms:

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/839229/

If this does not apply to you, please post your version of awstats and iis

Wrong. We've been providing AwStats to our Helm clients for the last 4-5 years. No problems at all.

Ditto... It just seems to be a configuration issue at OP's end.

No issue of Awstats with Helm if it is set propertly. Can you verify other perl cgi application is working fine on Server?

CGI Error
The specified CGI application misbehaved by not returning a complete set of HTTP headers.
This is the most annoying error on windows server.
However we never experience this kind of error for awstats.
If the error is fixed by restarting IIS, you should check application pool settings.
