Yup...you'll need to change the DNS settings of your domain to your new host's name servers.

so basically i dont have access to domain registrar info or anything.

Hmm...might want to look into doing a domain transfer then. That is, from your current host to a new domain registrar. You might want to look from your host's TOS to see what their policy on this is.

Thats an unfortunate problem a lot of people are getting when signing up with hosts that offer free domains.

There may have possibly been a clause under the TOS as smidwap suggested. The host may not let you transfer the domain as they were the ones who registered it.

Best of luck

Aw, sorry, i must have read the posts wrong.

Yea, what I would do is contact the company that registered the domain and see if you can get full access to the domain. (Such as changing the Contact / Admin info ect, as well as the name server info.)

They they dont wanna give that up, at least see if they would change it for you again.

Maybe my time has finally come to get out of the hosting business and get a REAL job. Hosting prices are dropping faster then the stockmarket :)

There is no way they can maintain business overselling like that. Many web hosts oversell, but even if they owned the datacenter, they couldn't offer that much data transfer (bandwidth) and still make money...

Heck, they couldn't even stay in business. If you actually use the 300GB they'll either kick you off their servers for violating their TOS (read the fine print) or they'll be out of business real soon.

WOW - 300GB for only $16 a month....um.......yeah.

I wonder if they also offer lifetime plans for $5. :D
