I have been trying for only God knows to get my .avi/.mpg files to be converted to VCD (mpeg/mpg) format, so I can burn 'em on a disc and play 'em in my DVD player, but none of the programs work. :( HAS ANYONE GOT SUCCESS WITH DOING THIS? If so, what program do you use? I really need to get this figured out!

Your DVD player has to be VCD compliant. Check to see if yours is at: www.vcdhelp.com

Mine is, and that ain't the problem. The problem is, my burning software won't let me burn the file onto the disc cuz it ain't VCD compliant.

get Nero. The only burning program you will ever need.
My friend has the same problem as you. I've been over acouple of times to his house to try and help him with it, but I'm also starting to doubt that VCD works...
It will be a pain in the behind to convert a .avi to a .mpg especially if it's divx. If you need to burn a .mpg as a vcd, the best tool to use would be nero. They have a vcd option, choose mpeg1 and burn. You should be all set from there.
