Thumb up for United Colo. PixyMisa 11-01-2002, 09:46 AM Cool. Did anyone else at United Colo get rebooted a couple of days ago? Just wondering what happened to my box. Came back fine, but shouldn't have gone down. sonic 11-01-2002, 07:05 PM really ? that's a good news so I will only pay 159 this month ambigiousop 11-01-2002, 08:58 PM Has anyone persuaded one of the UnitedColo sales people upgrade the processor to a 2.0 pentium if you sign up for a 3-6 month contract? Could we get something extra if we sign a contract for x number of months? AmbigiousOp Andrew 11-01-2002, 09:04 PM Sorry, off topic I know...but LOL @ the title of this thread. ambigiousop 11-01-2002, 09:22 PM double post JamesA 11-01-2002, 09:25 PM Originally posted by ambigiousop Has anyone persuaded one of the UnitedColo sales people upgrade the processor to a 2.0 pentium if you sign up for a 3-6 month contract? Could we get something extra if we sign a contract for x number of months? With the profit margin they have on their servers, I very much doubt they'll budge on matters like these, certainly not on anything less than a 12 month contract or a minimum 6 month prepayment. ambigiousop 11-01-2002, 09:29 PM I would not mind doing the 6 month prepay thing. clocker1996 11-01-2002, 09:30 PM lol@20 % dynamo 11-01-2002, 09:47 PM I was ready to nail em on this uptime promise, looks like they honored it in my case as well. No chargeback here, was really going to make them suffer. They had no legal foot to stand on in this case. And their service response time is still pretty good! Seems to good to be true... if they hadn't tried to weasal their way out of the uptime bit I think I might have added another 2 servers. We shall see how things continue. takiman 11-01-2002, 10:47 PM Originally posted by PixyMisa Cool. Did anyone else at United Colo get rebooted a couple of days ago? I called them and they told me there was something wrong with the power panel it was plugged into. Everythings ok now. UH-Matt 11-01-2002, 11:05 PM i think the 20% reffers to the amount of discount you get if the uptime guarentee is not met ? ($49 to $39) ? :D faculty 11-01-2002, 11:29 PM lol.. yeah, but seems funny :stickout: Dedicated 11-02-2002, 05:21 AM I did not have any porblem with unitedcolo.com for the past 2 months and did not need any support but today the server was down and sent them an email within 5 minutes got a reply. overall their service has been excellent so far.
