There are several NY troopers with vettes, two of them are unmarked. Try racing them. :D

I hope NYC doesnt do this, it was bad enough having butterflys platered all over the place.

OH MY GOSH! this is so stupid! They are making police being a business for advertising??? Yes I think getting the cars is a good idea but see it just ruins the looks of the place...i mean who is going to look at the ads. When a cop is by you and your driving you normally look at the road beacuse you dont want to break any laws with them near. I also find it a distraction because you will be reading their cars while driving and get into an accident...i know this because I was on I-4 the other day and someone had a car covered in advertisments and i was so busy looking over there i almost rear ended this idiot that just decided to cut me off.

I hope no one mistakes the number 911 for an ad :)

Hehe, ads mounted either on the trunk or painted on the back window like cabs. Guess the market would be bail bonds and lawyers.

I don't think we are meant to be able to spot police cars on the roads anyway... these ads will get what they want, so until you speed, or do something terrible, those lights should make you notice! ;)

So because there was a car with ads on it you lost the ability to keep focused and continue driving?

People like you shouldnt have licenses. Second off, every mass transit bus in NYC has 3 ads on each, not to mention the city is covered with ads in pretty much every place you look:

Good thing people like you dont live around here, traffic would be even worse

The two next logical steps: plaster police uniforms with sponsorship decals, sort of like race car drivers; and sell sponsorships of certain type of crimes! So, today when you watch a football game you might see the "U.S. Sprint Half Time Report," or you might while watching a televised hockey game see the "Gillette Instant Replay;" soon you might hear on the news "the Citibank branch on West Main was the victim yesterday of a daring daylight AOL-Time-Warner Armed Robbery..."

"Police officials reported today that the Microsoft Murder Rate declined in the past year, while the number of incidents of WebHostingTalk.com Home Burglaries increased slightly."

Tacky as hell. I bet the cops hate the idea.

Hehe, Miranda rights would change.

When was the last time your municipality reduced taxes? I don't think the plan will prove very popular.

Yeah they might, especially since half of them cant find the number 11 on their phone.

I like the idea, might make cops a little nicer since they never know who is who they are pulling over (dont wanna piss off a decision maker that pays for your cars). If cops took better care of their cars, they wouldnt need more. You'd be surprised how many wrecks the cops here in Houston get into....most while not on emergency or chase. They should keep their eyes on the road instead of the doughnut shops. Specially trained drivers my ass. My kids drive better than those dopes.

That would be the most weirdest thing. It'll be easy to spot cops now, since they will have many stickers on their cars.
