Master reseller accounts have major security issues, a Normal Reseller account is recommended, but if you wish to go with a VPS plan dont go with vps plans lower then $45/mo and make sure the ram the company offers is guaranteed.

You should check out Hosting Offers section on the forums, you should be able to find a great deal.

Try use vps,

I'm a vps user of KnownHost. Their servers are good, and they always reply my tickets quickly and friendly.

If you want to have a try, look at

Advertising Forums>>VPS Hosting Offers>>KnownHost New Website Launch Party - 50% off the first 2 months starting under $20/mo

use the coupon code to get a cheap price.

I do not recommend the "master reseller" software, where you can create your own reseller accounts...

The problem is that (besides the software bugs and security issues), the server management company has no way to control who is allowed to create an account on the server... and this can quickly mean an unstable and unreliable server.

For example, YOU might be careful about who you create a reseller account for... but what about some other customers on the server. Do you think THEY care as much as you, and will not simply sell reseller accounts to every crazy person who wants one? (ie: spammers...)

Imho, a server that allows "master reseller" type of software will have a much higher probability to be more unstable and unreliable then a normal reseller server with "one level" only where accounts are created directly by the server management company.

VPS is best,
Master Reseller may or may not be relible, depends on your host.

You will need to ensure the host provider offering their master reseller plan on a high speed server with more memory, this is to prevent server being overloaded all the times when master reseller and reseller sold like thousands in accounts.

And for VPS, it would be a good way to go with it but again you won't want to waste your time after finding that VPS is running on a congested server.

So, research is more importantly on your case.

I would always try to stay away from Master Reseller accounts. They tend to be unsafe and grossly oversold.

Definitely go with a VPS. It's a lot more secure and you get full root access, so why not? :)

The idea behind Master Reseller Accounts simply leads to highly oversold servers. I am guessing the idea of Master Reseller Accounts was good at the time, but with VPS servers at the price of Reseller Web Hosting plans now, I cannot see any reason why someone would choose a Master Reseller Provider. By a provider utilizing Master Reseller, they are effectively degrading the performance and eventually leading the the overloading of their machines.

There are plenty of unmanaged VPS providers which provide a great and reliable service for way under $45/month. $45/month is just a random number that you got from what information? If you expect to get a fully managed VPS, I can see how maybe do not go under $45, however you can pickup a unmanaged or semi-managed VPS at a much cheaper price.

reseller >> VPS >> Dedicated

that should be the upgrade line for resellers, master and alpha master resellers should have no place in that.

Reseller Account is a good option but it totally depends upon the plan, services and featured what your current provider is providing you.

Even VPS is a good option if you have tecehnical experts.

Agreed. There should not be any of this Master Reseller or Alpha Master Reseller or Super Duper Alpha Master Reseller accounts. All that happens is that servers get full and customer service for the companies get worse.

If the master reseller software is good, it won't cause any server problem.
If the server owner is good then master reseller wont cause any server abuse or anything wrong.

If you don't have budget and don't know much about managing a dedicated server or VPS, I suggest you to join with any RELIABLE master reseller company who is in this business for atleast 1 year.

Regards
Vivek

I have yet to find a master reseller software that I feel is secure enough to use for my customers...
