Where is the best place to buy a .co.uk domain? Anywhere I should avoid. I hope to use 000domains for my .com version as I have heard many good comments about them.

MattF 04-16-2001, 12:01 PM I highly recommend http://www.simplynames.co.uk :D Avoid UK2.Net, there are hidden charges (i.e. when you want to transfer domain). -Edward- 04-16-2001, 12:51 PM www.netweaver.com is a good service too. nonplus 04-16-2001, 03:22 PM Hi, I recommend using firevision.co.uk for your domain names and alivewww.com for your hosting - you can't get a better combination! BigBytes 05-14-2001, 11:29 AM "Where is the best place to buy a .co.uk domain? " [..] that's relative to what other services you want, whether you just want a cheap domain or with forwadring/hosting "Anywhere I should avoid." [..] uk2.net and others like them offering 2p domain names whilst hiding the £20 (or more) transfer fee IMO you should always read the small print and look for contact details before you buy from anywhere ! LJ check this site for more info... www.bigbytez.co.uk Note: we DO NOT sell domain names XTStrike 05-14-2001, 11:32 AM steer clear of www.freenetname.co.uk - while the domain is FREE, check out the transfer fee, the last time i checked it was around £70-£80 ($100) Adam_S 05-14-2001, 12:08 PM What do you need. Features or price, or both? greatgraddage 05-14-2001, 12:09 PM Freenetname > I know, one of my friends fell for that :) markymark 05-14-2001, 06:01 PM www.easily.co.uk are a good, fairly well-established domain registration company; with an easy to use interface and they are not gonna go bust on you. Or www.freeparking.co.uk- similar prices and the same features: ie: email redirection, no transfer fees, control panel for changing DNS or Ipstag, URL masking, etc. Mark cabalstudios 05-15-2001, 01:16 PM http://www.ukreg.com <-- excellent features, and very cheap, I have been using for over 2 years never had a problem with it. |
