Where is the best place to buy a .co.uk domain? Anywhere I should avoid. I hope to use 000domains for my .com version as I have heard many good comments about them.

I highly recommend http://www.simplynames.co.uk :D

Avoid UK2.Net, there are hidden charges (i.e. when you want to transfer domain).

Hi,

I recommend using firevision.co.uk for your domain names and alivewww.com for your hosting - you can't get a better combination!

that's relative to what other services you want, whether you just want a cheap domain or with forwadring/hosting

"Anywhere I should avoid."

uk2.net and others like them offering 2p domain names whilst hiding the £20 (or more) transfer fee

IMO you should always read the small print and look for contact details before you buy from anywhere !

steer clear of www.freenetname.co.uk - while the domain is FREE, check out the transfer fee, the last time i checked it was around £70-£80 ($100)

What do you need. Features or price, or both?

www.easily.co.uk are a good, fairly well-established domain registration company; with an easy to use interface and they are not gonna go bust on you. Or www.freeparking.co.uk- similar prices and the same features: ie: email redirection, no transfer fees, control panel for changing DNS or Ipstag, URL masking, etc.

http://www.ukreg.com <-- excellent features, and very cheap, I have been using for over 2 years never had a problem with it.
