Is it possible to buy a dedicated server from a provider and Cpanel license from another?

This may sound insane but some host just charge too much for cpanel !!

If this is possible, anyone know one who provides cpanel at a competitive rate.

It would probably be cheaper just to buy it from the server provider. cPanel runs at about $25.00-30.00/mo with most providers.

I've seen insane prices around like $40 OR 35 EURO.

There are good deals in the Advertising forum, but when it comes to cpanel, they seem to charge higher pricing, it think its a way of covering the prices, although everyone has their pricing which i respect..

Usually with the larger companies, the licensing fees go down -- therefore, you'll find cheaper cPanel prices when buying it with the server.

I'm really not too sure about that. You'd need to contact the sales team about that.

Most providers that offer control panel licenses, don't resell their datacenter contracted license. Again, it does depend on the control panel and their initial contracts.

Where do you see that? BurstNET charges $19.95/mo for cPanel.

When a company does not sell many CPanel servers their license cost goes high.

Usually companies selling many CPanel servers usually tend to give lower pricings as discounts are based on the number of licenses you purchase.

Why dont you just look at the offer section and find a server that will give you a good server and a good rate on CPanel license.

I see, I was looking at the internal license pricing. I'm pretty sure you'll be able to find an external license much cheaper than that.

Buying from the same place as your server is usually cheaper as you can take advantage of the internal licensing, which is cheaper than external licensing in most cases.

Touch Support had a few specials in the past I believe for external licenses ... maybe if you contact them they can give you a discount as I cannot find the special pricing anywhere.

Yes you can get a dedicated server from a provider and get the cpanel license from an external cpanel license provider such as http://www.cplicensing.net/pricematch.php. Granted it is more expensive to do so.

External licensing is not part of our business model, and we are not set up for selling such. It's just not something we want to compete in...
Internal pricing however is another story...and we are about as competitive with that pricing as it gets...
