View Full Version : Enom & Maxmind Experiences
andrew_t 04-15-2009, 01:40 AM I was wondering what peoples experiences are with the Enom domain reselling platform and the Maxmind fraud protection?
Any pitfalls, or great advantages to them? Are there better you know of?
Thanks
mrzippy 04-15-2009, 04:22 PM Hello,
We have been resellers with eNom for 8+ years and really like them a lot. Their control panel is very good, their service is excellent, and the pricing is pretty decent.
Any eNom reseller can create a free account for you, so you can login and check things out to see if it's what you want.
:)
skypn 04-16-2009, 01:32 AM Hey I like to sign-up,,,, but any strings attached ??
Praise the LORD JESUS Christ !!!
mrzippy 04-16-2009, 01:34 AM There are no strings. :)
andrew_t 04-16-2009, 05:24 AM There are no strings. :)
But their is ropes :P
But seriously, i sent them an email a few days ago and have heard nothing since. I'm still unsure, do they have a support desk...?
mrzippy 04-16-2009, 05:34 AM What email did you send to? Their sales@enom.com address should be active, but I'm not sure about any others...
Their support helpdesk is done through their control panel. You need to have an account with them in order to use it.
:)
Feel free to ask your questions here if you'd like.. we have been eNom resellers (highest level, directly under eNom) for many years, so maybe we can help answer your questions...

In terms of maxmind, I've been using it for a couple of years, I think it's a great service :)
It's not the only thing you should use to detect and prevent fraud, but, it does the checks I would do "by hand" far quicker and for a tiny cost.

Yeah, that is the email i sent.
I do have an account there, though maybe it's just me missing it, but i can't find it! (The helpdesk that is)

Login to your eNom.com account, and click the "help" link in the top-right corner.
Then click the "eNom Support Center" link on the right-hand side...
.. or you can just contact your parent reseller and ask them for assistance. They are supposed to provide first-level support to their "sub-accounts", so that's the first place you should start if you have any eNom related questions about anything. ;)

Yeah - I always just like to check orders anyway. It hasn't been to bad, i've pretended to put through 2 fraud like orders and it's picked them up straight away and marked them as fraud.
skypn 04-17-2009, 03:37 AM Maxmind does best what is expected out of it, and saves us from getting sued for a fraction of a penny.
cjcUSDW 04-20-2009, 01:55 PM I have been really happy with them. Their SSL prices are not that bad either.
