My accountant works on an hourly basis.
I send him all the paperwork and for the hosting (because of the volume of payments) I generate the totals for him.

We have a part-time accountant to keep track of our records.

Actual accountant - as needed on an hourly basis for taxes, training, and consultation.

Bookkeeper - part time to keep track of records and make sure we're not getting lazy in our record keeping.

Amen to that!

I do my own accounting which isn't really a big deal. I just do my own research and see how much more I need to spend in order to pay less taxes.

Well to be honest we use WHMCS and it will automatically terminates non payed accounts after 8 days with no payment and suspend after the 2nd day without payment and automatically charge them a $10.00 fee after the account is terminated if they want to get data or host back with us. WHMCS is great it will send invoices etc basically what you command it to do fitting your need's. As for taxe's etc we do have someone who does this. But they are not full time. Pretty much as needed. But WHMCS all the way. You can find out more information here http://www.whmcs.com/

we use AWBS which pretty much keeps us up to date with our accounts, works pretty well and once it comes round to getting our accounts done properly we just export the data and pass it on
