"wrapped around my little finger" ?

I was holding my new son :pimp: and he wrapped his hand around my little finger. That got me to thinking about what the origins of the above expression were. I asked "she who has all knowledge" [Mrs Aussie Bob ;)] and she didn't know. :eek:

So I'm as curious as all heck now....:D

Doesn't anyone know where that expression came from? Am I to go through life not knowing?? :eek: :bawling: :D

My guess -
Sting.... The lead singer of the band Police...

Anyway, nice to see you with a new son.. I'm sure it is a wonderful experience being a papa.... Now you must remane yourself to Aussie Papa....
