We have a client whose mail is not being delivered. Whenever you send an email to test@domain.com it gets bounced back with:

test@domain.com
unknown local-part "test" in domain "domain.com"

The MX records for domain.com are pointing correctly. The test pop account has been created in the user's CPanel. Is there something else that I could check? Any help would be appreciated.

Just wanted to follow up on this message. It seems we had the client's domain name entered in all upper case and this was causing the problems. We changed all instances to lowercase and the mail started delivering agin.

Uppercase in CPanel or the test message? If it was the latter, than there's something wrong with your setup, because the DNS is case-insensitive, and MTA's should treat it as such.
