i just got a new dedicated server from liquid web with cpanel. Everything has been setup and whm/ftp/sites themselves all work.
but i can not load cpanel AT ALL.
through the domain, through the ip, through ip:2086, nothing.
none of my friends i link can access the cpanel either.
ive tried different browsers, isps, computers, etc. NOTHING connects to cpanel.
telnet connection fails too.
now, the bad part, liquidweb tech support claims they can see it just fine and can login with no problems. They asked for my IP to make sure it wasnt blocked, it isnt (and again, no one except for them can seem to access it)
ANY clue what the problem could be?
my coworker did do the below items when we got the server. coudl any of these things affect cpanel?
SSH password authentication off - all SSH authentication by key only (please
contact us with your public key if you need us to add this in for you).
APF Firewall Ingress Ports - 20,21,25,53,80,110,443,995,2087 (removed various
unknown ports as well as SSH port 22 and MySQL 3306 as these are only needed
remotely from allowed hosts. Please let us know if any other ports are
critical for your monitoring services.
any help would be awesome as this is becoming a MAJOR issue
