Hi All,

We have been memeber on DNS Exit from 2007-01-07 and had some issue in between as our account got hacked. After struggling to get access to account and verifying our account DNS Exit kept us partial access saying that your account will be getting limited access for one year where you could not be able to tranfer domain or access few areas to make changes in whois etc... and we agreed to that. But now after two years when we tried to get domains tranfered to my other registrar this company still does not remove my limited access and told us that they will remove those restrictions in 2011.We have 7 domains with them for alomst 2 years now and they still want to keep us restricted to access our domains.

Can Anyone recommend us or give an idea whom should i complain this too so that i can get access to my domains again and get them tranfered some where else. Its putting us in loss for $5 to renew each domain.Any guidence will be appreciated. Also let me know if anyone else is with DNS exit and facing same problem.

Hello,

If you own the domain, then you should be able to modify the whois.. regardless of whether you are "restricted" or not.

I would suggest complaining to ICANN, since they are supposed to be the regulators of the domain industry. (Although they are all but useless at their job.)

What I would suggest is perhaps asking your registrar if you can submit paper/fax requests to have the information in your domains updated.

The fact is that they *must* provide some method for the legitimate domain owner to update the information.. so ask them how they want you to do that. Then do whatever they say, even if it means sending them lots of paperwork, proof of identity, or whatever.

Good luck!

Complain to the better business bureau and post your complaints all over the internet. Then you should sue them and get them to pay!

Find out who they are reselling the domains for and contact them to get access to your domains.

You do understand how the BBB works right?
A company has to "pay" them to have them collect complaints.
If the company does not want to pay the BBB then you can not submit a complaint.
I don't know if DNSExit pays them or not.

But unless they do... then reporting them to the BBB will not do anything.

Looks like DNSExit is a subsidiary of NetDorm which is ICANN accredited so contact ICANN

Your ICANN complaint can take time. Its best to complain to the registrar and mark a CC to icann that way the registrar will respond. You should also find out whether you can fax them some identification information so they can identify you as who you say you are and grant you access to the account !
