I usually use this service when I want to get whois info on an IP or hostname as it's easy, just need to type http://www.whois.sc/example.com.

It seems they've been down for a while, the site itself works but it does not load any info. Anyone else notice this, or is it maybe at my end?

It works for me, but do note that as of quite awhile ago the site redirects to 'domaintools.com'.

If I remember correctly it turned into DomainTools. They merged.

Perhaps the redirection was broken when you were trying to us it?

Hmm looks like it's in fact the redirect that broke. It used to just redirect to whois.domaintools.com but whois.sc/ is faster to type :p

I have that web site bookmarked. I suppose that is very important tool to have bookmarked ;)

Redirect is a very useful option, its been working for me fine the past few days.

Their paid tools are excellent too :)
