View Full Version : After much research I have chosen....cartikahosting.com
nlikens 04-06-2009, 03:08 PM cartikahosting.com (because I have to have .net/windows hosting)
I have heard nothing but good things here in this forum, the only thing I don't like is that they are more expensive than others. But I'm starting to think you get what you pay for. Especially with Customer service. And they offer 24/7 email and PHONE support.
I'm not feeling that they limit my account to 25!? And then nickel and dime me when I add more clients!
Especially when I have two accounts on my own (my business website, personal website)
And when I Have two paying clients already on board.
Which leaves me with 22 acounts....and counting.
Does anyone have any more information on them I should know about?
dotRoot 04-06-2009, 03:19 PM This is for their HAL or Clustered Reseller?
Also remember that their White Label End User Support (for them to support your clients, instead of you) has a setup fee of $299 I believe. Which can or cannot be a good deal depending on your goals, growth, etc.
nlikens 04-06-2009, 03:29 PM No I plan to have my customers call me, and then I submit a ticket or call Cartika on my own. Its clustered hosting...but to be honest I dont know the diff. I just want to be able to sign up as many clients as I can and get the maximum return. My goal is 50 clients in one year.

Only I have been with them for 4 years or something and have been extremely happy. If you look at my post history, my 1st posts here were looking for a H-Sphere host as my previous host of 4-5 years went downhill all of a sudden. I opened a couple reseller accts with them and then moved seamlessly into a dedicated server (my choice as their reseller accts can actually grow to more than a single dedicated could handle). The nice thing as a reseller is the multi-platform hosting, clustered services, and of course their R1Soft user accessible backups (don't forget to include these when you create your plans).
Of course their service, response time, and network are top-notch. I'm a big fan of Cartika 's as you can tell. Many people look for the lowest priced host and then return a week later to complain. Me, I look for "value" in what you are receiving for the price when contemplating a host. I don't believe you could find more "value" at any host (ok I'm biased).

HAL is Linux only (for now :) )

yes, fair enough comments. Please remember though, we setup White Label eMail and Phone support. $299 is actually dirt cheap to setup a formal business grade PBX system - especially when its integrated with our phone system and directs all of your support calls to our representatives, 24x7, who then answer "thank you for calling your-company-name, how can we help you?"

has it been that long already? :)

I wasn't trying to cast it in a negative light. Just in case he assumed that it was provided for free. This is steep for a normal Reseller, but of course normal resellers don't normally resell HAL or Clustered Hosting either.

I didnt take it that way at all dotRoot - no worries what so ever.. I did feel the need to elaborate though :)

Well, I would argue that plenty of "normal" resellers sell our clustered offerings. I mean its a nice neat package, reasonably priced, all inclusive offering that gives resellers all sorts of benefits..
I would agree that the resellers looking for free end user support on cpanel are not our typical target audience. But, for the vast majority of businesses out there that value add hosting on top of their offerings - our pricing for 24x7, white label phone and email support is a drop in the bucket. You couldnt even staff 1 day of competent in house support for that money...

For your business and personal website you don't have to create two accounts you can add multiple domains under each account, in this scenario you save one account and if you have a client with multiple website you use the same method
