We noticed some yahoo email deliverability issues this morning and attempted to sign up for yahoo feedback loop, but realized is is on a per domain basis.... which obviously isn't possible for each domain / cpanel account we have.... I was hoping to get abuse emails relating to our ip address forwarded to us, but it doesn't look like thats possible....

This got me thinking about managing users and email in general.... especially as we get larger.

Do you have any good strategies and or software for managing your users' email? I'm trying to avoid having hundreds of accounts being unable to send email to large providers just because one bad apple went sent to a list or some other blacklistable activity........

What can we do to prevent this and how can we manage and monitor users?

Any feedback appreciated!

Hi,
What happens is, your spamming from an IP address (yes, I know your customer did it... or something got hacked, web bot, or web forms etc), this ip is then black listed by this large provider (AOL), an email gets sent to the ip owner (from the ip whois data - on linux type, whois ip addy), usually looks like eg: abuse@yourcompany.com.
From the way you are speaking though, you do not own your C Class or your IP range, this is the problem, you will not get a chance to clear your name as when your IP spams, the large provider sends you an email asking you to fix this spam outbreak, you fix it and send a reply or click a secure link, they then white list you, if your ip spams again the whole process then restarts, it's a never ending loop it seems for us.
We have a B Class and we get about 3 emails a day about spam outbreaks, we remove the spam, and then reply to the email, all is solved.

Hope that helps.
