Any other good suggestions would be appreciated..

I have the Siemens SX45... mobile and Windows Pocket PC in one. No adaptor cards, no cable between mobile and PDA, just pure joy! :)

Mike,
Its been launched in the states for few months.

Anyway retrohelix, you should not get PDA from Singapore.
Ive stayed in Singapore for quite sometime and I can tell you PDAs are definitely more expensive there. Average 20% more expensive than USA. People in Singapore are importing PDAs from USA and now you wanna try the other way.

Anyway I got my Toshiba e740 2 weeks ago, I will say go for this one.

Yeah, when you get your PDA you might wanna check out www.palmgear.com .
Actually it is only after I research for PDA softwares that I got tempted into buying PDAs. I always go "Darn, you mean you can do that on the PDA???" ....after sometime, the temptation got really strong and the rest is history.

Looks like I didnt catch my parents in time....

....got a call this morning from Barclaycard (CC Company..):

He asks me who the card number belongs to, so I told him it was my dads..then he goes to me: "I am sorry sir, but it seems like somebody has stolen your parents credit card, because in the last two days the card has reached its $12,000 dollar limit..at first I actually thought It had been nicked, cos its been frauded online before..

So I asked Him what the person had spent all the money on - he said "Mostly Electrical - TV's, Computers, Etc..and some household equipment.." I told him it was no fraud, but it had actually been purchased..

Then, 10 Mins later, my uncle (he's a joint account holder) phones me up and starts complaining to me, basically saying that I made them buy loads of stuff, and now he cant use his CC cos theres nothing left on the joint one!

Looks like im gonna be having a nice weekend next week, so :P :P :P

Asif :P

I would have bought CLIE few months ago if not for the memory stick problem. Sometimes you will find yourself not able to read from the memory stick. I was an ex-NR70V fanatic, before I dive into the world of Pocket PC, I never look back ever since.
Many of my friends using Palm are slowly going for PPC. I never hear any PPC users going for Palm

Hey Asif,

My friend has one of those sony's, its nice, but I can't see it beating my gadget. I have a Compaq iPAQ Pocket PC - its marvelous and I couldn't be happier with it. One of the best purchases I made, and still able to compete with the new palmtops two years on....

:)

Can I ask how you people have been using these devices? Sounds like they can come in handy while on the road.

Wll the thing I love on my pocket pc is something called "transcriber". You write anywhere on the screen in your *normal* handwriting and it will translate whole sentencesm even multiple sentences, into computer type. Its awesome when you're out and about, need to make notes at conference or in a meeting with clients etc.

Couldn't imagine not having it now...

I looked at the iPAQ, but it seemed to bulky for me..

I did want something that I would be able to use email on, but it seems like I'm only going to get one fo those from the UK.

It seems like if I need the PDA for looks, I might at well het the clie..

Well, I shall know by next week..
