We currently only register domains for clients that order our hosting sevices or for sites that we design. I am now wanting to sell domains as a seperate thing.
I want to be able to sell, at least:
.com/net/org
*.uk

This is at the minimum

I also want COMPLETE automation, ie. client gets a control panel etc.. So we dont have to spend our time changing dns servers etc.

Also pricing has to be good too :) of course
currently i pay about 7£ a .co.uk and 10£ a .com (for 1 year) .co.uk for 2

Thanks

Craig

Check out http://www.opensrs.org/
They offer a great reseller program for domains, including *.uk :)

Hi
We use Opensrs for this as they do .co.uk as well.

The down side is that they charge $13 per .uk domain when Nominet members get them for $8.50 (including the VAT)
This makes it impossible to compete at the bottom end of the market, but we still sell quite a few .co.uk's at £24.95 including forwarding and DNS management.

Actually, its cheper to buy them from some of the cheap registrars than through Opensrs.

Also check out alldomains.com as they do a cobranded solution which does .com and .uk domains (but not the foreign ones).

Another tip is to separate your front end from your back end. This makes it much easier to add additional TLD's when you want to (even if they come from different suppliers).
We just added .uk.co plus all the Centralnic ones like .us.com and it didn't interfere with our systems at all.
I have another 4 or 5 TLD's to add today and its just a case of adding the whois addresses to cdomain pro and setting the prices in the order form.
