Live chat. Do you use it? Did you purchase or find an open source solution? Any recommendations?

I use live chat on my site too. Its from onlinechatcenters.com. Most of them also have ticketing system with them. Some of the popular ones are Kayako, Provide Support, Liveleader etc.

We use Kayako, and we are very satisfied with it.
Great software, easy to use, and easy to understand.

Configuration needs some attention, and if mod_security is installed, be sure to check if everything works right. It blocked our support calls which were requested by a Firefox user.

Livezilla is great at semoweb that is what we use and its great,free,fast.

think you mean livezilla, filezilla is a FTP client

I recommend ProvideSupport for a inexpensive paid solution. It works great and has some nice customization and other functions. We use it ourselves and have no complaints about it.

We also use ProvideSupport. The only issue I have with them is that there are no lasting stats for tracking. Once the visitor is off the site, the stats go with them. That is one area they really need to work on to be truly competitive. Other than that, they have all the features of live chat services and the price is right.

i use to use one i think it was by the name of cup of joe or something along those lines...idk how it compares to todays live chats...
