Are you chasing a reseller account?? Don't know too many hosts who use Rackspace as a supplier for reseller packages. The numbers just don't work. Rackspace charge too much for too little data transfer etc. They have a brilliant datacenter, but maybe too good.

I agree fully with you that rackspace is too good, and the prices will not allow for any good markup for the reseller. I myself donot host with rackspace. But this is for a client who wants 99.999% uptime, which i believe i can rely safely on rackspace.

Only this is the reason that i sought your advice, else if you look for good hosts on WHT, there are pleenty who have stood test of time and adversity.

i think it's the first options.

i can't see how rackspace can offer a guaranteed uptim on the server :-0

That's why we offer a 99.9% network and server uptime guarantee, and we do state this clearly on our main page. Even though we have had a 99.990% uptime (stats from Alertra.com with 5 minute interval monitoring) so far which includes the network and server.

Great site Alan. :) Yeah, if I was using Rackspace, I'd be splashing that all over the site too. :D

BTW, it must be tough to be competitive, given the high cost of bandwidth from rackspace. Although your plans are reasonably priced. Would you offer WHM plans?? Would the numbers work off rackspace costs??
