Whatever the hell happened to Verio, Cogent.. and all the others? WildWayz 10-30-2002, 07:25 AM http://www.tracert.com/cgi-bin/trace.pl When I used that, Verio was used in some of their tracerts and they fell over too - it was probably on entry to DV2 :/ Maybe a router reset? Dunno - will call Imran/Shazad James faculty 10-30-2002, 07:27 AM Yeah - give em a call for me :stickout: WildWayz 10-30-2002, 07:34 AM They are looking into it :) faculty 10-30-2002, 07:38 AM Okies.. cool. :D WildWayz 10-30-2002, 07:45 AM They are checking into it, but they did say they are dealing with 3 servers being DOS'd which may/may not be related - but so far they cannot see why it fell over. I daresay Imran/Shazzy will post here with an update :) James faculty 10-30-2002, 07:47 AM Did you tell them there is a thread here about it? :) WildWayz 10-30-2002, 07:51 AM Yep :) I think his words were "aaah bless them. Bet they left nice comments too"* James * - they may not have said that, I was knackered and working on a PC whilst talking to him :) faculty 10-30-2002, 07:52 AM lol.. Hope he doesnt think what I said was bad.. i actually congradulated them thinking they had fixed it :stickout: Seems fixed now though.. stayin up :) I think I can say GW dv2 :) WildWayz 10-30-2002, 07:55 AM Aye - I told him that noone was flaming over it :) He also said he is gonna monitor it for a few hours, and also monitor it tomorrow at the same time to see if there is a pattern forming :) James faculty 10-30-2002, 07:57 AM Hehe.. cool  cabalstudios 10-30-2002, 10:32 AM Like James said, Some of our servers were being dossed, we have at this moment got this under control, but.. there is still a considerable amount of attacks going on. We will keep an eye on this, and monitor it throughout to see what we get. Imran Techark 10-30-2002, 10:49 AM Not to flame anyone but don;t you guys think it woud be faster and more productive to get a hold of the data center rather than post to WHT? I had the same problem on one of my servers there, the others were fine, at the same this thread was started. I called the data center and they had me going in 2 minutes. WildWayz 10-30-2002, 12:52 PM Probably because dv2's site and eserver's site were down because of it - hence why I couldn't get a number to call them :) I ended up WHOIS'ing eservers.biz and calling Imran's mobile :D James Andrew 10-30-2002, 01:04 PM Originally posted by Monte Not to flame anyone but don;t you guys think it woud be faster and more productive to get a hold of the data center rather than post to WHT? Just out of curiosity, which number did you call and what time was that? And was it eservers or Dv2 directly? Techark 10-30-2002, 01:11 PM I called DV2 direct they have asupport 800 number I am sure if you ask they will give it to you.
